Celecoxib side effects
Celecoxib may cause drowsiness, but it can cause other side effects too.
More common side effects :
The most common side effects that can occur with celecoxib oral includes:
- stomach pain
- respiratory tract infection
If these effects are mild, they may go away within a few days or a few weeks. If they’re more severe or don’t go away by self , talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Severe side effects
Call your doctor immediately if you have Serious side effects and their symptoms may include the following:
Chest pain or heart attack – Feeling heavy Chest
- sudden weakness in one part or one side of your body
- slurred speech
- drooping on one side of face
- blurred vision
- sudden dizziness and trouble walking
- very severe headache with no extra cause
High blood pressure – Rise in Blood pressure – BP
- swelling in arms and legs, hands and feet
- un usual weight gain
Bleeding and ulcers in your stomach and intestine
- blood in urine
- bloody stools
- black and sticky stools
Allergic reactions such as
- itching and hives
- swelling of your face or throat
- yellowing of your skin
- whites of your eyes.
Asthma attacks – Asthma attack is a serious side effect
If you feel any of the above symptoms or side effects, report your doctor immediately. Do not take any more celecoxib medication until you speak to your doctor.
You should also take care of medicine interaction with other medicines, specific foods, alcohol and tobacco to avoid risk of side effects,
